productivity are also heavily considered when
determining access levels given the impact in

Technology acts as a necessary controlling
agent and another layer of protection. One of
the most common solutions is the username
and password. Despite its widespread use, the
password continues to be an ongoing headache
for security personnel, and some would
like to see its use phased out. Easily manipulatable,

following tips to keep processes secure:
* Guard against complacency and comfort by periodically reviewing
and adjusting security policies.
* Employ formal risk review processes, including risk acceptance, to
create organizational awareness.
* Make time for maintenance (patching), one of the easiest ways to
mitigate vulnerabilities.
* Roll out a corporate-level security plan and reporting processes to
all facilities.
* Audit on a regular basis to reduce the risks associated with data
security and system access.
* Reduce control of availability and limit access only to those who
need it.
* Apply an additional layer of physical security.
* Create a corporate policy regarding access to the systems, both
local and remote.
